Blue Debut

Blue Debut is an optional, in-person program designed for DePaul students who are new to campus in Fall 2021. The program is open to new freshmen and transfer students as well as second year students who will be taking classes in person for the first time this fall. Blue Debut will supplement the mandatory Premiere/Transition DePaul orientation programs happening throughout the summer. If you are an incoming student, you must be registered for virtual Premiere or Transition plus an academic advising appointment to sign up for Blue Debut.

Blue Debut introduces students to the Lincoln Park Campus, DePaul’s history and mission, and other students. The session will run from 9am-2pm Central Time, with optional campus tours to follow. 

If you are not able or interested in attending Blue Debut, there will be many chances to connect in person during Welcome Week at the start of Fall Quarter. You can also check out virtual events happening during the summer on the DePaul's Digital Engagement Network. 

Masks are required in all DePaul buildings - regardless of vaccination status. If you are unvaccinated and traveling from a state marked in orange on the City of Chicago Travel Advisory list, you are are advised to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Chicago or quarantine for a 10-day period upon arrival. Vaccinated individuals are exempt from the Advisory.
